Anyone who knows me, knows the awesomeness of The Nard. He never ceases to amaze me!! He is so sweet sometimes it just melts my heart!! We went to a Lenten kids' program on Wednesday this week and the topic is 7 deadly sins. They are using Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) to show the children examples of these sins. We started off with Augustus and tied gluttony and greed together. We watched a few scenes and then discussed greed, then we made a pig plate (most of them were too young to really get gluttony). Each person had to write something they were greedy about and put it on their pig to float down the "chocolate river". B wisely chose his "stuff"...he was honest about it and admitted he doesn't like to share. Nard was honest as well...but in his overly intelligent and super sweet way! He wrote down "Mom"...he is greedy about me and he doesn't want to share me. Ugh....melt my heart with your high-pitched voice!!
I must remind myself to not let him wrap me around his finger, with the ability to be completely opposite of everything that makes me "crazy mom"...because it's really not fair to B. He's a sweetheart and I adore him the same, but he does know how to push my buttons. He's very emotional and smart...which are a truly scary combo.
